ATEN CL3108 rack console 47 cm (18.5 inch) 1366 x 768 pixels Metal, Plastic Black 1U

The ATEN CL3108 is a 1U rack-mountable rack console that integrates an 18.5" LED-backlit LCD monitor (1366 x 768), a keyboard and a touchpad in a short-depth sliding housing. Designed for space-constrained server rooms, it supports USB and PS/2 keyboard/mouse connections and provides a VGA video port. The compact design and built-in LED illumination light improve usability in narrow racks and low-light environments.

Advantages

The CL3108 saves rack space by combining monitor, keyboard and touchpad in a single 1U unit while keeping a short installation depth for narrow enclosures. It supports up to 8 connected computers directly and can be cascaded to control up to 128 systems. Features such as Broadcast mode and Auto scan increase operational efficiency, and two-level password security restricts unauthorized access. An additional hot-pluggable USB mouse port provides convenience for HID devices.

Suitable for

• Server rooms and racks with limited depth or space
• Control rooms requiring compact console management
• IT maintenance and monitoring tasks across multiple servers
• Environments needing simultaneous command distribution (Broadcast mode)

For cascading multiple units, follow ATEN cascading instructions to expand control up to 128 systems.

Recommendations

For best performance, ensure VGA cable quality and avoid excessive cable lengths. Use the LED illumination when working in low-light racks, and configure two-level passwords to maintain access control. When cascading, verify compatibility and cabling order to prevent signal or control conflicts.
