The CL1000 is a LCD KVM console that serves as the front-end for standard KVM switches. The CL1000 features an integrated 17" or 19” LED-backlit LCD panel, full keyboard, and touchpad in a 1U, rack-mountable, Slideaway™ housing.

Users who already have a switch can take advantage of the space saving and efficiency benefits of the CL1000 LCD KVM console without the unnecessary expense of having to purchase a KVM switch. This model provides convenient ‘at the rack’ console access to KVM switches already installed at your site.

How to use

Install the CL1000N into a 1U rack slot using the supplied rack mount kit and adjust the unit depth to suit your rack. Connect the console to an existing PS/2 KVM switch using the provided custom KVM cable (VGA, USB) or appropriate adapter for your switch. Connect the power cord to an AC source within the supported voltage range. Slide the console out when you need direct access; the LCD module can be rotated up to 115 degrees to obtain a comfortable viewing angle. Use the built-in keyboard and touchpad to control servers routed through your KVM switch.

Recommendations

For USB-only environments, acquire the appropriate KVM cable or converter to ensure full compatibility. Ensure the rack has sufficient top and bottom clearance for smooth Slideaway™ operation and verify keyboard layout selection matches your preferred language in multinational deployments.
