The Ajax MotionProtect Outdoor is a wireless passive infrared (PIR) motion detector designed for outdoor use. Suitable for ceiling or wall mounting, the detector provides a 90° detection angle and up to 15 m range. It integrates advanced algorithms and an anti-masking system to reduce false alarms and detect tampering, while using the Jeweller radio protocol for fast, reliable communication with the hub.

Advantages

The detector uses a two-step analysis algorithm (LISA) combining correlation and spectral analysis of signals from two PIR sensors to distinguish real human motion from environmental noise such as wind, moving foliage, animals or insects. An intelligent anti-masking system automatically calibrates during installation and detects objects placed over sensors or attempts to paint them; a tamper switch notifies of removal from the SmartBracket. Jeweller two-way radio communication ensures alarm delivery in under 0.15 seconds at distances up to 1,700 m with authentication and encryption. How to use

Mount the MotionProtect Outdoor on a suitable ceiling or wall using the SmartBracket plate and allow the device to auto-calibrate its anti-masking sensors during installation.
