The Brodit 736267 Active Holder is a Module Upgrade Cradle for Zebra ET5x series tablets, designed to hold the tablet securely while providing power and USB-A host functionality. The cradle includes a keyed lock with two keys and supports connection to a DC barrel jack for external power. It is compatible with rugged frames and can be used with or without expansion modules or a handstrap. USB-A (host) and DC 5.5x5.1-1.5 mm power connection are available (cable not included).

How to use

Mount the cradle using the screw mount points suitable for your vehicle or indoor installation, then place the Zebra ET5x tablet into the cradle so the pogo pins align with the tablet contacts. Secure the cradle with the keyed lock to prevent removal; two keys are supplied. For external power, connect a suitable 12 V DC supply to the DC barrel jack (cable sold separately) to enable full USB-A output. If no external 12 V supply is used, the USB-A port will draw power from the tablet and provide reduced current.

Recommendations

For reliable charging and maximum USB-A output (1.5 A), use a stable 12 V DC external power source. Use suitable cables and accessories rated for the required current. Avoid leaving accessories that draw power from the tablet connected long-term without external power to prevent rapid battery drain.
