ACT Red 7m LSZH U/UTP CAT6 Patch Cable Snagless RJ45 is a slimline Cat6 patch cord with a 7 meter length, snagless RJ45 connectors and LSZH jacket. The U/UTP design and gold-plated contacts provide reliable connectivity for datacenter and network cabinet installations while the reduced diameter (approximately 3.8 mm) improves airflow compared with standard CAT6 patch cords.

Advantages

The slimline design reduces cable diameter and bending radius to improve rack airflow and cable routing in dense installations. Snagless RJ45 connectors protect the plug latch during installation. The LSZH jacket lowers smoke and toxic gas emission risk in enclosed spaces. Although 28 AWG conductors increase attenuation at higher frequencies compared with 22–26 AWG, this cable meets the practical needs of many patching scenarios and is suitable for shorter links within racks.

How to use

Connect one RJ45 end to the network device (switch, patch panel or server) and the other end to the corresponding port. Route the cable along cable management pathways and avoid tight bends below the cable's minimum bending radius. For best performance keep patch lengths as short as practical and separate bundles from heat sources.

Recommendations

For Power over Ethernet (PoE) deployments, limit bundled groups to a maximum of 24 cables to avoid excessive temperature rise. Follow ANSI TSB-184-A guidance to ensure the center cable temperature increase remains below 15 °C above ambient.
