How to use

Plug one RJ45 connector into the network device or patch panel port and the other into the target switch, server or outlet. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks. Route the cable with gentle bends respecting the reduced bending radius of slimline cable. Use appropriate cable management to maintain airflow in racks and avoid tight bundling where not recommended.

Recommendations

Use slimline 32 AWG-style CAT6A patch cords for short patch runs; because higher attenuation occurs at higher frequencies with thinner conductors, ACT recommends keeping permanent link lengths shorter than with standard 24 AWG cords. For PoE deployments, limit bundled cables to a maximum of 24 to prevent excessive temperature rise, complying with ANSI TSB-184-A limits of less than 15 °C increase above ambient for the centre cable.
