ACT Red 0.15m LSZH U/UTP CAT6 Patch Cable Snagless RJ45 is a slimline CAT6 patch cord with a 0.15 m length, LSZH jacket and U/UTP construction. Its reduced diameter (about 3.8 mm) and snagless RJ45 connectors make it suitable for dense rack and cabinet installations where improved airflow and short reliable connections are required.

Advantages

The slimline design lowers cable diameter and bending radius compared with standard CAT6 patch cords, which helps to improve airflow in server racks and network cabinets. The LSZH jacket reduces hazardous smoke and corrosive gas release in case of fire. Snagless RJ45 connectors protect the plug latch during installation and removal. Although 28 AWG conductors may increase attenuation at higher frequencies, the cable meets practical requirements for short patch connections in datacenter environments.

How to use

Connect one RJ45 connector to the switch, patch panel or network device and the other connector to the corresponding port. Use the 0.15 m length for short patching runs inside racks or between adjacent devices. Avoid excessive bending beyond the cable's minimum bending radius and ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks for a reliable connection.

Recommendations

For PoE deployments, limit bundled cable groups to a maximum of 24 slimline cables as advised by ACT to avoid excessive temperature increase; ANSI TSB-184-A specifies that temperature rise for the center cable in a bundle should remain below 15 °C above ambient. Use slimline CAT6 cords where reduced diameter and improved airflow are priorities.
