The ACT IEC Lock power cable secures both ends of the mains connection with a C15 IEC Lock+ connector on the equipment side and a C14 IEC Lock+ Dual Locking connector on the PDU side. The C14 connector locks at the top and side to reduce the chance of accidental disconnection from the PDU. The C15 connector is high-temperature resistant up to 120°C. The universal locking mechanism works with major PDU brands and does not require the PDU to have its own locking feature or any tools for installation. Available in multiple colors for easy identification, this 1 m white powercord is intended for reliable power delivery to IT and server equipment that use C14/C15 inlets.

Advantages

The cable prevents accidental release at both the equipment and PDU ends, minimizing the risk of service interruptions and potential hardware damage. Its universal, tool-free locking mechanism is compatible with most PDUs, and the C15 connector’s 120°C temperature rating makes the cable suitable for higher-temperature inlet applications. The dual-locking C14 provides extra retention by fastening at two points on the PDU.

Suitable for

  • Rack-mounted servers and network equipment with C15/C14 inlets
  • Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and PDUs in data centers
  • Critical desktop or workstation equipment where accidental unplugging must be avoided
  • Cabling installations requiring clear color identification

When it may not be suitable

This cable is intended for devices with IEC C15 (equipment) and IEC C14 (PDU) inlets; it is not suitable for equipment using different IEC connector types (for example C13/C14) or non-IEC proprietary power inlets. Also note the current rating: the cable is rated for a maximum load of 10 A at 250 V~ and should not be used where higher current capacity is required.

Key specifications

  • Cable length: 1 m
  • Connectors: IEC C14 dual-locking (PDU side) to IEC C15 (equipment side)
  • Maximum load: 10 A at 250 V~
  • Conductor cross-section: 1.0 mm²
  • C15 temperature rating: up to 120°C
  • Color: white

How to use

Insert the IEC C15 connector into the equipment inlet and the IEC C14 dual-locking connector into the PDU or power inlet. Press until the locking mechanism clicks; the C14 locks at the top and the side to secure the connection. No tools are required to engage or release the locks—operate the built-in release mechanism to disconnect when necessary. Verify the connector seating and ensure the cable is routed to avoid strain on the plugs.

What to consider before purchase

  • Ensure your equipment uses IEC C15 inlets and the power distribution unit accepts IEC C14 plugs
  • Confirm a 10 A / 250 V~ rating is sufficient for your device’s power draw
  • Decide if the 1 m length and white color suit your installation and labeling needs

Recommendations

For critical systems, use these locking powercords on both equipment and PDU sides where possible and combine with good cable management to prevent mechanical strain and accidental disconnection. Check connector seating after installation and periodically during maintenance.
