How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end of the ACT DC9105 to a network device (switch, router or NIC) and the other end to the corresponding port on the patch panel or device. Route the cable through the rack or cable tray, observing the reduced bending radius for slimline cables to avoid sharp bends. For best signal performance, avoid running the cable parallel and close to high-voltage power lines.

Recommendations

Although Cat6 standards typically reference 22–26 AWG, this slimline cable uses thinner 28 AWG conductors which can increase attenuation at higher frequencies. For Power over Ethernet (PoE) deployments, limit bundle sizes to a maximum of 24 cables as advised by ACT to prevent excessive temperature rise; ANSI TSB-184-A limits temperature increase of the center cable in a bundle to less than 15 °C above ambient.
