How to use

Connect one RJ45 plug to the network device and the other to the patch panel, switch, or server port. Route the slimline cable through cable management trays or between patch panel ports, respecting the reduced bend radius. For best signal performance, keep the patch cord length to the required minimum and avoid unnecessary loops or tight bends.

Recommendations

Although 32 AWG slimline conductors are used, ACT recommends limiting permanent link length compared with standard 24 AWG patch cords to accommodate higher attenuation at higher frequencies. For PoE installations, limit bundle size to a maximum of 24 cables to control temperature rise in the bundle; ANSI TSB-184-A specifies that temperature increase for the centre cable should remain below 15 °C above ambient.
