The ACT Green 7 meter LSZH U/UTP CAT6 datacenter patch cable snagless is a slimline CAT6 patch cord designed for data centre and network cabinet use. With a 7 m length, U/UTP construction, snagless RJ45 connectors and gold-plated contacts, it supports high-speed Ethernet while occupying less space than regular CAT6 cords. The reduced diameter and smaller bending radius improve airflow in server racks and make cabling neater and easier to route.

This slimline CAT6 cable has a smaller diameter (approximately 3.8 mm) than standard CAT6 patch cords, which lowers the bending radius and allows denser routing in rack and cabinet environments. The snagless RJ45 boots protect the connector latch during installation, and the LSZH jacket reduces smoke and toxic gas emission in case of fire. While 28 AWG conductors can increase attenuation at higher frequencies compared with thicker gauges, the cable still meets typical CAT6 datacentre patching needs when used appropriately.

How to use

Route the ACT Green 7 m LSZH U/UTP CAT6 cable between patch panels, switches and servers as required, avoiding sharp bends that exceed the cable's minimum bending radius. Use cable management panels and ties to maintain airflow and prevent excessive bundling. Insert RJ45 connectors fully into ports until the latch engages; the snagless boot protects the latch during plugging and unplugging.

Recommendations

For PoE deployments, limit bundled groups to a maximum of 24 cables to minimise temperature rise. Observe ANSI TSB-184-A guidance, which limits temperature increase of a center cable in a bundle to less than 15 °C above ambient. Avoid extremely long bundles in high-power PoE applications and monitor link performance where higher attenuation from slim conductors could affect marginal links.
