How to use

Connect one RJ45 end to a network port on your switch, patch panel or device and the other end to the corresponding port. Route the slimline cable through cable managers or ducting as required; the smaller diameter and lower bending radius make it suitable for tight paths. For best performance, keep patch cable lengths short and avoid unnecessary bundling where possible.

Recommendations

ACT recommends using this 32 AWG slimline cable for shorter permanent link lengths compared with standard 24 AWG patch cords due to higher attenuation at higher frequencies. For PoE applications, limit bundle sizes to a maximum of 24 cables to prevent excessive temperature rise; ANSI TSB-184-A specifies that temperature increase for the center cable should remain under 15°C above ambient.
