ACT FB8101 is a 1 m Cat8 U/FTP (STP) slimline datacenter patch cable with RJ-45 connectors on both ends. It supports a maximum bandwidth of 2000 MHz (40 Gbit) and uses full copper 30 AWG conductors with 50 µin gold-plated RJ45 contacts. The slim 5 mm jacket and LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) material make it suitable for short high-speed links in racks and cabinets where improved airflow and reduced smoke/toxic gas emission are required.

This slimline cable uses 30 AWG conductors, which are thinner than the 22–28 AWG range commonly described in ISO/IEC and TIA standards. As a result, attenuation is higher—particularly at higher frequencies—so for longer runs or installations demanding the lowest possible attenuation, a thicker-gauge Cat8 or different cable type may be more appropriate.
