ACT Cat 6A F/UTP solid installation cable, LSZH, CPR euroclass ECA, 24AWG, violet 305 meter

The ACT FS6113 Violet 305m Cat6 F/UTP networking cable is a 305 metre cable on a reel designed for structured cabling in Ethernet networks. With Cat6 performance and F/UTP (foil screened with unshielded twisted pairs) construction, the cable provides improved protection against electromagnetic interference compared to unshielded alternatives. The violet sheath offers a distinct visual identifier for organized installations in data centres, offices, or residential networks.

Advantages

The cable delivers Cat6 bandwidth characteristics suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and supports reliable high-speed data transmission over typical horizontal cabling distances. F/UTP shielding reduces crosstalk and external interference while preserving flexibility for routing and installation. Supplied on a 305 m reel, it enables continuous runs and reduces the need for splices or intermediate joins, simplifying large installations and minimizing signal discontinuities.

How to use

Measure the required run length and unspool the cable from the reel, maintaining gentle bends to avoid kinking. Terminate the cable using appropriate Cat6 RJ45 connectors or punch down to compatible keystone jacks and patch panels following the T568A or T568B wiring standard used in the installation. Ensure the foil shield is properly grounded at a single point when used in screened environments to maintain the effectiveness of the F/UTP design. Avoid running the cable parallel and close to power lines to reduce potential interference.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this Cat6 F/UTP cable for links up to standard horizontal distances and pair it with Cat6-compliant connectors and patch panels. Verify installation continuity and performance with a certified cable tester, and observe local cabling standards and grounding practices when installing shielded cabling.
