ACT Cat 6 F/UTP solid installation cable, LSZH, CPR euroclass ECA, 24AWG, violet 500 meter

The ACT Cat 6 F/UTP Solid Installation Cable ACT 500m Violet is a shielded twisted-pair cable designed for structured cabling in commercial and residential indoor environments. It supports Cat 6 performance for high-speed Ethernet and data transmission, featuring a solid 24 AWG conductor for stable signal integrity over longer runs. The F/UTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, while the LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) outer jacket minimizes toxic and corrosive emissions in case of fire. The cable is supplied on a 500 m reel and its violet colour simplifies identification within multi-cable installations.

Advantages

The shielded F/UTP design provides additional protection against external interference compared with unshielded variants, improving signal reliability in environments with potential EMI sources. Solid 24 AWG conductors are optimized for permanent installations and deliver consistent electrical characteristics across long cable runs. The LSZH sheath complies with current safety requirements for indoor spaces by reducing smoke density and halogen release in the event of combustion. Supplied on a 500 m reel, the cable reduces the need for frequent joins and helps maintain continuous runs for backbone and horizontal cabling.

How to use

Plan cable routes according to building layout and standards for structured cabling, avoiding close parallel runs with power cabling where possible. Cut required lengths from the 500 m reel and terminate with appropriate Cat 6 compatible keystone jacks or RJ45 connectors designed for solid conductors. Ensure that shielding is correctly terminated to grounding points at patch panels or outlets when using F/UTP to maintain the effectiveness of the screen. Follow installation bend radius and pulling tension limits to avoid damaging the conductor or jacket.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this Cat 6 F/UTP solid cable for permanent indoor installations and connect shielding to a proper grounding system. Test each run with a certified cable tester after termination to verify continuity, pair integrity and performance parameters according to Cat 6 standards.
