How to use

Connect one RJ45 plug to the network device (switch, router or server) and the other RJ45 plug to the corresponding port on the patch panel or network outlet. Route the slimline cable through cable managers or horizontal managers to maintain tidy cable runs and preserve the reduced bending radius. Avoid tight bends close to the connector and secure the cable with appropriate ties or Velcro straps to prevent strain on the plug.

Recommendations

For PoE deployments follow ACT guidance and limit bundled PoE cables to a maximum of 24 to control temperature rise. While 28 AWG slimline constructions are acceptable, they have higher attenuation at elevated frequencies compared with 22–26 AWG cables; plan link lengths and channel performance accordingly.
