How to use

Connect one RJ45 end to the network device (switch, patch panel or server) and the other end to the corresponding port. Recommendations

Although ISO/IEC and TIA standards typically specify patch cords between 22 and 26 AWG, 28 AWG slimline cables are used in this product family and can exhibit higher attenuation, especially at higher frequencies. To accommodate extra attenuation, ACT recommends using shorter permanent link lengths than with standard 24 AWG cables. For Power over Ethernet (PoE) deployments, limit bundle sizes to a maximum of 24 slimline cables to help control temperature rise; current guidance (ANSI TSB-184-A) aims to keep the centre cable temperature increase below 15 °C above ambient.
