The ACT HDMI Cable 50 meters Premium 4K Active Optical v2.0 is an active optical HDMI cable with HDMI Type A male connectors on both ends, designed to transmit 4K video and multichannel audio over long distances without data loss. The cable combines copper and glass fiber with Kevlar mechanical protection, aluminium foil shielding and is delivered on a spool for easy installation. It supports 2160p @ 60Hz, HDCP 2.2 and common HDMI features such as ARC, CEC, EDID and 3D, with an 18 Gbps bandwidth to maintain signal integrity up to 50 m (available up to 100 m in the ACT AOC range).

How to use

Unwind the cable from the supplied spool and route it between source and display avoiding sharp bends. Connect the HDMI Type A male connector to the HDMI output of the source device and the other end to the HDMI input of the display. Power and signal are handled by the active optical cable; follow source and display menu settings for enabling ARC, CEC or HDCP features if required. Do not compress or kink the cable; maintain a gentle bend radius to protect the internal fibre.

Recommendations

For best results, test the connection at full 4K@60Hz with the intended source and display. If using lengths beyond 50 m, verify compatibility and performance for the specific installation; ACT AOC variants are available up to 100 m.
