The ACT AOC 4K HDMI Cable (50 m) is an active optical HDMI cable combining copper and fiber to transmit 4K video and multichannel audio over long distances up to 100 m without data loss. With an 18 Gbps 4:4:4 bandwidth it supports 3840x2160 @ 60Hz and compatibility with HDMI 2.0 and earlier HDMI versions. The cable is supplied on a coil and features detachable HDMI Type A connectors, copper-plated contacts and a pull-protector for installation through conduits and plenum spaces.

Advantages

How to use

Disconnect the detachable HDMI plug from the cable and attach the supplied protector with pulling eye. Feed the slim, flexible cable through the conduit or plenum space using the pulling eye. After routing, remove the protector and reconnect the detachable HDMI plug to the cable, making sure to match the source and display markings on the connectors. If the source device provides insufficient power to the cable, connect the included USB power lead to an external 5 V USB supply.

Recommendations

Ensure connectors are oriented correctly and marked source/display ends are connected to the appropriate devices. Use the optional USB 5 V supply only when the transmitter’s HDMI port does not provide adequate power. Avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force during installation to protect the fibre core and Kevlar reinforcement.
