The HUAWEI eKitEngine AP266 is a slim indoor wall-plate access point compliant with the Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) standard. It operates simultaneously on the 2.4 GHz (2x2 MIMO) and 5 GHz (2x2 MIMO) bands with four spatial streams and a combined data rate of up to 2.975 Gbps. The unit provides one GE uplink port and four GE downlink ports (one with PoE OUT support), supports PoE power, and can be installed on a desk, wall, ceiling, or junction box to fit various indoor deployment scenarios such as budget hotels, hospitals, retail stores, and schools.

How to use

Mount the AP266 on a desk, wall, ceiling, or junction box according to the installation location. Connect the uplink GE port to your network switch or router and provide power via PoE if available. Configure the AP locally using EasyWeb or a wireless access controller (WAC), or register the device on the HUAWEI eKit App & SNC platform for remote management and maintenance. Apply appropriate wireless security settings (WPA2/WPA3) and network policies as required.

Recommendations

For optimal coverage and performance, place the AP266 centrally within the intended indoor area, avoid obstructions near the antenna area, and ensure the uplink has sufficient bandwidth.
