The series provides adaptive PoE power budget with either internal AC power 700W (28HP)/960W (52HP) or external DC power system 1440W (28HP)/2400W (52HP). How to use

Install the XMG2230-28HP in a standard 19-inch equipment rack (1U) and connect uplink fiber or copper links as required. Attach powered devices to the RJ-45 ports and verify PoE allocation through the switch management interface. Configure VLANs, ACLs, QoS and static routes via the web GUI, CLI or Nebula cloud portal to segment and optimise traffic flows. For redundancy, connect both AC (if available) and the optional DC power input or an external DC power system to enable active-standby failover.

Recommendations

For stable PoE operation in high-density deployments, plan the PoE power budget according to the connected device classes and, when needed, use an external DC power system to increase available PoE capacity. Use Nebula cloud management for centralized monitoring and rapid configuration across multiple sites, and enable Networked AV mode when deploying professional AVoIP systems to simplify IGMP and stream management.
