The 800 MHz microprocessor, high-resolution megapixel sensor and Zebra’s exclusive PRZM Intelligent Imaging technology work together to easily capture poorly printed, damaged, crinkled, faded, truncated and low contrast barcodes. The curved exit window helps minimize stray light, reducing reflections from barcodes printed on glossy paper or displayed on a screen that can blind the sensor.

How to use

Place the DS9308-SR on the counter using the multi-position base and connect it to your POS or host system using the supplied cable. Position items or present mobile device screens in front of the scanner window; the large field of view and fast capture will read most 1D and 2D barcodes without precise alignment. Adjust base angle as needed for optimal ergonomics. Configure volume, tone and language support through the scanner’s settings or using Zebra’s 123Scan utility for bulk staging and updates.

Recommendations

For best performance, keep the exit window clean and avoid strong direct light sources that can create reflections. Use the preferred-symbol feature to target a single barcode when multiple codes are visible. When deploying in wet or dusty locations, verify mounting and cable routing to maintain the IP52 protection and extend service life.
