How to use

For initial setup, plug the DS2208 into your POS using the supplied auto-host detect cable; the scanner will identify and configure the correct interface automatically. If customization is required, use Zebra’s 123Scan utility to generate a single programming barcode and apply settings with one scan. To read a barcode, point the aimer at the code and press the trigger—omni-directional scanning and PRZM decoding maximise the chance of a first-pass read regardless of barcode orientation or condition.

Recommendations

Place the DS2208 at a convenient height on the checkout counter to allow quick point-and-shoot scanning of items, coupons and loyalty cards. Keep the scanner lens free of debris and test configuration settings with 123Scan after any system changes.
