How to use

Install the WAP R outdoors on a wall, porch or vehicle mount using suitable fasteners, or place it indoors on the supplied desktop stand near a window to improve signal. Insert an LTE miniPCI-e card if mobile cellular backhaul is required and connect the external LTE antennas. Connect a wired device to the 10/100 Ethernet port as needed and power the unit via PoE-in, DC jack or the automotive connector. Configure wireless settings and network access through MikroTik RouterOS or the device’s management interface.

Recommendations

For best wireless coverage, mount the device with a clear line of sight to the coverage area and ensure antennas are positioned according to the enclosure orientation. Use PoE-in for simplified single-cable installations; in vehicles verify the automotive connector wiring and voltage range (9–30 V) before use.
