The Grandstream GWN7625 is an 802.11ac Wave-2 wireless access point that supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands and is designed for small-to-medium sized businesses, home offices, retail shops and restaurants. It provides MU-MIMO (4x4:4 on 5 GHz and 2x2:2 on 2.4 GHz), a multi-antenna design for improved throughput and extended coverage, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE/PoE+ and built-in web-based controller functionality. The GWN7625 is compatible with GWN.Cloud and GWN Manager for cloud or on-premise management and supports common Wi‑Fi security algorithms including WEP, TKIP, WPA, WPA2-PSK and WPA3.

How to use

Mount the access point in a central location to maximize coverage, connect it to a PoE-capable switch or injector using the Gigabit Ethernet port, then power it on. Configure the device through the embedded web user interface, or register and manage it via GWN.Cloud or GWN Manager for centralized control. Create SSIDs, apply security settings (WPA2/WPA3 recommended), configure QoS for real-time traffic and, if needed, enable mesh or captive portal features according to network requirements.

Recommendations

Place the GWN7625 away from large metal objects and interference sources, use PoE/PoE+ for simplified installation, enable WPA3 where supported, and segment guest traffic using a captive portal or VLANs when deploying in public or semi-public environments.
