Wall mounted rack Digitus DN-19 16-U-EC

The Digitus Wall mounted rack DN-19 16-U-EC is a 19" wall cabinet from the Dynamic Basic Series with a 16U usable height and compact 600 x 450 mm footprint. Constructed from up to 1.5 mm sheet steel and finished with an electrostatic powder coating (standard grey RAL 7035 or jet black RAL 9005), the cabinet is designed for indoor network installations, supports up to 60 kg and has an IP20 protection rating. The cabinet includes pre-cut cable inlets in the roof, floor and rear wall and a pre-cut zone on the roof for an optional fan module.

Advantages

The cabinet’s 450 mm depth provides a space-saving wall-mounted solution while maintaining optimized air ventilation and exhaustion. Removable side panels and a lockable safety-glass front door with steel frame improve accessibility and security; the door hinges are reversible and the front door is removable. Internally, two pairs of galvanized 483 mm (19") profile rails with rack-unit markings readable in both directions are supplied and their depth is adjustable for flexible equipment placement.

How to use

Mount the provided mounting plate to the wall using appropriate anchors for the wall material, then connect and secure the cabinet onto the plate in the two installation steps described by the manufacturer. Install equipment on the adjustable 19" profile rails, route cables through the pre-cut inlets in the roof, floor or rear wall, and, if required, fit a compatible fan module into the pre-cut roof area. Use the removable side panels and removable front door to access equipment during installation or service; lock the front door to restrict access.

Recommendations

For safe and reliable operation, install the cabinet on a load-bearing wall and observe the 60 kg maximum load. Ensure adequate ventilation clearance around the cabinet and, if devices generate significant heat, install a compatible fan module in the roof area and leave free space for airflow. Use suitable cable management and earthing practices according to local regulations.
