Wall light switch MACLEAN MCE701B single touch, single-gang, surface-mounted

Single touch wall light switch MACLEAN MCE701B single touch, single-gang, surface-mounted is a mechanical on/off switch designed for straightforward manual control of lighting circuits in residential and commercial interiors. The single-gang, surface-mounted body allows installation on standard wall boxes or on surface-mounted conduit systems where recessed mounting is not available. The switch provides a single tactile actuator for reliable operation of lighting loads and is intended for use with compatible AC lighting circuits.

Advantages

The switch’s single-touch mechanism offers intuitive operation and tactile feedback for end users. Surface-mounted construction simplifies installation in retrofit or non-recessed wall situations and reduces the need for additional wall modification. The single-gang form factor keeps the device compact and suitable for tight spaces while maintaining standard wiring terminals for easy connection. The mechanical design is compatible with a wide range of lamps and fixtures when used within its rated electrical parameters.

How to use

Before installation, switch off the circuit breaker and verify power is disconnected. Mount the surface box or use an existing standard wall box, connect the live and switched live conductors to the switch terminals and secure the neutral as required by local wiring rules. Fasten the switch to the box and restore power to test operation by pressing the single touch actuator to toggle the lighting circuit on and off. Follow local electrical codes and, if unsure, consult a qualified electrician for installation.

Recommendations

Use the switch within the rated electrical parameters of the connected lighting. Avoid connecting inductive loads or high-power equipment beyond the switch’s intended purpose. For dimming or smart control, select compatible devices designed for those functions. Regularly check terminal tightness after initial installation and schedule inspections according to local safety standards.
