Wake-up light alarm clock Philips HF3519/01 SmartSleep — sunrise simulation, 5 sounds, white, 199×146×192 mm

The Philips SmartSleep HF3519/01 wake-up light alarm clock uses gradual sunrise simulation combined with selectable sounds and adjustable lighting to support a gentler morning routine. The unit in white provides a colour-changing light sequence from soft red through warm orange to bright yellow, reproducing natural dawn progression. Its compact footprint (199×146×192 mm) and mains operation with a 12 W adapter and 150 cm cord make it suitable for placement on a bedside table.

Advantages

The device delivers a progressive increase in light intensity that mimics natural sunrise, intended to reduce abrupt awakenings. Five alarm sounds are available to complement the light simulation, and a red light option supports lower stimulation for night-time visibility. The compact design is space-efficient, and the broad input voltage range (100–240 V) allows use in multiple regions with the supplied adapter.

Suitable for

• People seeking a gentler, light-based wake-up routine
• Users who prefer options between natural sounds and tones for alarms
• Those with limited bedside space needing a compact alarm clock
• Bedrooms where a gradual light increase can aid waking during darker months

Key specifications

• Wake-up light with gradual sunrise simulation and colour-changing LEDs
• Five selectable alarm sounds
• Optional red night light mode
• AC powered via supplied 12 W adapter; input voltage 100–240 V
• Power cord length: 150 cm
• Dimensions: 199 × 146 × 192 mm

How to use

Place the wake-up light on a stable surface beside the bed within reach of the power outlet, connect the supplied adapter and set the preferred wake-up time using the controls. Select the desired light intensity and colour progression and choose one of the five alarm sounds. For night-time visibility, enable the red light option. The device will start the programmed light ramp-up before the alarm time and play the chosen sound at the set time.

Recommendations

For best results position the light so it is visible from a typical sleeping position without being directly in the eyes at full brightness. Use the sunrise simulation consistently to help stabilize morning wake times, and keep the unit plugged in to maintain clock and timer settings.
