This module is part of Vision's Techconnect connectivity faceplate family and provides a single USB-C connection on the front that splits into HDMI and USB at the rear. It separates the USB and display signals so users can connect a laptop with one USB-C cable to the AV faceplate while supporting longer cable runs to interactive displays. The module does not provide power delivery and cannot charge laptops or phones via the USB-C port.

Advantages

The active circuitry separates video and USB signals allowing reliable transmission to displays at greater distances. It supports 4K at 60 Hz for short, high-quality cable runs and drops to 30 Hz for longer runs. The rear USB 2.0 socket is tested for compatibility with interactive displays and projectors. How to use

Connect a laptop to the module's front USB-C port using a USB-C cable. At the rear, connect an HDMI cable from the module's HDMI socket to the display and connect the rear USB 2.0 socket to the interactive display or projector as required. Use high-quality cables and keep input/output cable lengths to 3 m (10 ft) if you require 4K @ 60 Hz; for longer HDMI runs the module supports 30 Hz. The module fits into a Techconnect surround fixed to a backbox, mudring, or table faceplate.

Recommendations

Use certified, high-quality USB-C and HDMI cables for best signal integrity. Do not rely on this module for device charging—provide separate power where needed. For installations requiring the maximum video refresh rate, keep both input and output cables at or below 3 m (10 ft).
