The Lanberg RSFE-16P-2C-150 is an unmanaged PoE+ Ethernet switch with 18 RJ-45 ports (16 PoE+ Fast Ethernet ports and 2 Combo Gigabit uplink ports). It provides data switching and supplies up to 150 W of total PoE budget supporting IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at devices. The switch is designed for installations in homes, businesses, surveillance and access control systems, VoIP and IP networks, and other low-voltage environments where powering devices over structured cabling is required.

Advantages

The RSFE-16P-2C-150 combines data transmission and centralized power distribution over Ethernet to reduce installation effort and eliminate the need for separate power outlets at end devices. How to use

Install the switch in a rack or on a flat surface using the supplied mounting ears and screws. Connect the uplink Gigabit ports to your core network or NVR, and connect PoE devices (IP cameras, VoIP phones, APs, access controllers) to the PoE ports. If long-distance PoE is needed, set the hardware toggle on the housing to "PoE+ Extend 250 m" to enable power and data to devices up to 250 m away at a reduced data rate (max. 10 Mbps). The switch will manage PoE power distribution automatically; when the total PoE demand exceeds 150 W, it will disconnect PoE starting from the highest-numbered ports until the load is within the budget, preserving lower-numbered ports as priority.

Recommendations

Assign critical devices (for example NVR, primary cameras or access controllers) to lower-numbered PoE ports to ensure they remain powered when the PoE budget is exceeded; use the PoE+ Extend 250 m mode only where required, and verify device compatibility with reduced 10 Mbps link speed at extended distances.
