Universal plug Fischer UX GREEN 8 x 50 R Nylon Plastic 50 mm 8 mm

The Fischer Universal plug UX GREEN 8 x 50 R is a 50 mm long nylon and plastic wall anchor designed for use with an 8 mm drill hole. Supplied in packs of 40 pieces, this universal fixing combines the load-bearing behaviour of the original grey UX with a formulation that uses at least 50% sustainable raw-material-based granules. The anchor expands in solid substrates and knots in hollow materials to provide reliable hold across a wide range of unknown building materials. An integrated edge prevents slippage during installation and the plug is suitable for through-type installation.

Advantages

The UX GREEN 8 x 50 R delivers the same load-carrying performance as the standard UX while reducing reliance on fossil-based raw materials. Its nylon construction offers durability and resistance to normal mechanical stresses. Expansion in solid substrates and knotting in hollow substrates ensure secure fixing for many applications. The edge design reduces the risk of the plug slipping into the borehole during assembly, supporting faster and more reliable installation.

Suitable for

• Fixing lights and luminaires
• Mounting curtain rails
• Securing lightweight cupboards and cabinets
• Attaching cornices and mouldings
• General-purpose use in unknown or mixed building materials

Key specifications

• Length: 50 mm
• Recommended drill diameter: 8 mm
• Material: nylon / plastic
• Pack quantity: 40 pieces
• Design: universal anchor that expands in solid materials and knots in hollow materials
• Special feature: edge to prevent slippage during installation

How to use

Drill a hole with an 8 mm drill bit to the required depth in the chosen substrate. Clean the hole of dust and debris before insertion. Insert the UX GREEN plug flush with the surface so the edge sits against the material to avoid slippage. Use an appropriate screw or fixture and tighten until the plug expands in solid material or knots in hollow material to secure the fixing. For through-type installation, pass the screw or bolt fully through the fixture and into the plug before tightening.

Recommendations

Use appropriate screws for the material and application; follow load tables and substrate guidelines when planning critical or load-bearing installations. Where the substrate is unknown or mixed, the UX GREEN provides a reliable universal solution; however, verify suitability for heavy loads and consider mechanical anchors for very high demands.
