TV signal amplifier Kathrein VOS 32/F

The Kathrein VOS 32/F is an in-house distribution TV signal amplifier designed to deliver stable, high-level digital and analogue signals across a wide frequency range. It supports downstream frequencies from 47 (or 85) to 862 MHz, offers selectable return path capability, and features F-type connectors for easy integration into coaxial installations. The compact unit combines moderate power consumption with mechanical robustness for wall- or mast-mounted distribution use.

How to use

Mount the Kathrein VOS 32/F in a dry, ventilated location near the main coaxial feed. Connect the incoming antenna or distribution feed to the input F-connector and run outputs to subscriber lines using F-connectors. Select the required gain (26 dB or 32 dB) and adjust the level/equalisation controls to compensate for cable attenuation and achieve the desired signal level at subscriber outlets. If two-way communication is needed, enable and connect the optional return path according to installer instructions. Ensure supply voltage within 198–252 V, 50 Hz.

Recommendations

For best results, measure signal levels before and after installation and fine-tune gain and equalisation to avoid overdrive or insufficient signal at end points. Use appropriate surge protection and adhere to local installation standards when mounting and connecting the amplifier.
