Tripod Head Manfrotto MVH500AH Black Aluminium 3/8 inch

The Manfrotto MVH500AH is a lightweight aluminium video head with a wider sliding platform designed for HDSLR and interchangeable‑lens cameras. It replaces the earlier 701HDV head and supports smooth, controlled camera movements while carrying up to 5 kg (11 lb). The head includes a flat base tripod mount and a 3/8" Easy Link connector for attaching external monitors or accessories, making it compatible with hybrid photo/video tripods, traditional photo tripods, sliders, monopods and other supports.

How to use

Attach the MVH500AH to a compatible support using the flat base tripod mount. Fix the camera to the sliding quick‑release plate, then engage the side lock by lowering the camera into the head until it clicks. Use the fluid pan and tilt controls to perform smooth moves; adjust framing by sliding the plate to balance the camera when necessary. Use the Easy Link 3/8" connector to attach an external monitor or accessory if required.

Recommendations

For best results, balance cameras close to the head’s pre‑set counterbalance and avoid exceeding the 5 kg payload. Regularly check the side lock engagement and keep fluid cartridges free of debris to maintain smooth operation.
