How to use

Aim the laser pointer at the surface to be measured and keep the thermometer within a distance appropriate for the 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio to ensure the target area is within the sensor field. Press the measurement button and read the result on the backlit display; the device updates the current temperature in about one second and also records the highest measured value. Replace the AAA battery when the display indicates low power or readings become unreliable.

Recommendations

Allow the instrument and the measured object to acclimatize to the same ambient temperature for the most accurate results. Avoid measuring through glass or transparent surfaces and do not use the device to measure body temperature. For small or distant targets, move closer to ensure the spot size fits the target according to the 12:1 ratio.
