Straightening iron Remington S8598 Warm Black Grey — ceramic plates 11 cm, 5 heat levels, 160–230°C, 3 m cord, carry case

The Remington S 8598 Warm Black Grey straightening iron combines wide 11 cm plates with a ceramic heating system and five adjustable temperature levels to provide efficient styling for medium to long hair. The appliance reaches a maximum temperature of 230 °C while offering fast heat-up to 160 °C, and its 3 m power cord ensures comfortable reach during use. An automatic power-off function activates after 60 minutes to reduce the risk of accidental overheating and increase safety.

Advantages

The ceramic heating system delivers even heat distribution across the full plate surface, reducing hot spots and helping to protect hair structure during styling. Five heating levels allow precise temperature selection for different hair types and styles, from gentle smoothing to higher-heat straightening at up to 230 °C. The extra-long 3 m cord increases maneuverability around a mirror or salon chair, and the auto power-off feature provides an added safety layer for everyday use.

How to use

Ensure hair is clean, dry and detangled before using the straightening iron. Select an appropriate heating level based on hair type — lower settings for fine or damaged hair, higher settings up to 230 °C for thicker or coarse hair. Allow the appliance to reach the chosen temperature, then clamp sections of hair between the plates and glide the iron from root to tip with steady, even motion. Repeat as necessary for desired smoothness, and switch off the device after finishing. Store the iron in a heat-resistant place once it has fully cooled.

Recommendations

Use a heat-protectant product on hair before styling to minimise heat damage. For best results on long or thick hair, work in narrow sections and avoid passing the iron multiple times over the same strand. Take advantage of the long 3 m cord when positioning around a vanity or salon setup, and rely on the auto power-off function as an additional safety measure.
