The host device should automatically detect the module and negotiate a Gigabit link; verify link and speed status through the host management interface. To remove, disconnect the Ethernet cable and extract the SFP module using the transceiver's release mechanism.

Use Category 5e or Category 6 shielded or unshielded twisted-pair cabling in good condition for reliable 1000BASE-T performance.
