The InLine® SFP Module 32335V is a reliable and cost-effective solution for connecting classic networks via copper cabling. With a transfer rate of up to 1 Gb/s, the module is suitable for structured IT infrastructures in companies, public authorities or educational institutions.
Thanks to the RJ-45 interface, network devices with Cat.5 to Cat.6a cables can be connected over distances of up to 100 m. The transceiver supports auto-negotiation and automatic crossover detection, ensuring a simple, reliable connection without additional configuration.
The particularly low power consumption of only approx. 0.5 W makes the module ideal for devices with limited energy or space requirements, such as flat switches or edge components.
Compatibility with the SFP MSA standard and IEEE 802.3ab allows cross-manufacturer use in many network environments.

How to use

Insert the SFP module into a compatible SFP slot on your network device until it clicks into place, then connect an RJ-45 Ethernet cable to the module’s port. Ensure the connected device supports 1000Base-T SFP modules and that the cable run does not exceed 100 meters. After connection, verify link status and speed via the device management interface or indicator LEDs. To remove the module, power down or follow hot-swap procedures recommended by the equipment manufacturer and gently withdraw the module from the slot.

Recommendations

Use Cat5e or Cat6 cabling for reliable Gigabit performance and keep cable runs within the 100 m limit. For critical links, verify compatibility with the host device and confirm link parameters after installation. Follow electrostatic discharge precautions when handling the SFP module and avoid using the module in environments outside the operating conditions specified by your equipment vendor.
