The InLine® SFP Module 32335J is a powerful 2.5G 1550nm LX transceiver for use in professional fibre optic applications over single-mode fibres. With a transmission distance of up to 80 km, the module offers a reliable solution for long-distance connections, such as those found in data centres, campus networks or telecommunications infrastructures.
The transceiver is MSA-compliant and supports the SFP form factor according to SFF-8472. It is suitable for applications such as STM-16, SDH/SONET, ATM switches or fibre channel connections. The combination of LC duplex connection, hot-plug capability and industrial temperature range from 0°C to 70°C enables flexible and robust integration into existing systems.
Thanks to 1550 nm DFB laser technology and an integrated APD TIA receiver unit, the module ensures stable and powerful data transmission at up to 2.5 Gb/s – ideal for companies that depend on high availability and long distances.

How to use

Insert the SFP module into an empty SFP slot on a compatible switch, media converter or optical transceiver bay while the host device is powered on or off according to the host manufacturer's guidance. Connect single‑mode fiber using the appropriate optical connector type on the module and ensure correct transmit/receive alignment. Configure the host interface for the intended speed and duplex settings if required; most devices will negotiate 2.5 Gb/s automatically. Verify link status and optical levels through the host equipment management interface.

Recommendations

Use clean, undamaged single‑mode fiber and proper connector cleaning procedures to minimize insertion loss. Verify compatibility with the host device's supported SFP modules and follow electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions during handling. For links approaching the maximum 80 km distance, confirm path attenuation and consider optical amplifiers or dispersion management if required by system design.
