Satellite multiswitch Schwaiger SEW98 531

The SCHWAIGER Satellite multiswitch SEW98 531 distributes digital signals from two satellite positions to up to eight receivers. It requires a Quattro LNB as signal source and delivers independent programme access to each connected receiver. The device is passively powered by the connected receivers and enters a 0 W sleep state together with the LNB when no receivers request power.

How to use

Connect the four outputs of a Quattro LNB (two satellite positions, vertical and horizontal polarisation) to the corresponding inputs of the multiswitch. Run coaxial cables from the multiswitch outputs to each receiver. Receivers supply power to the multiswitch and the LNB automatically; no external power supply is required under normal operation. Verify cable connections and receiver settings, then select channels independently on each receiver.

Recommendations

For reliable operation use quality coaxial cables and ensure the Quattro LNB is correctly installed and aligned. If multiple receivers are not present, the multiswitch and LNB will remain in a 0 W sleep mode until a receiver requests power.
