The Samsung S61F 27" LCD Quad HD monitor provides a 27-inch IPS panel with a native resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, delivering sharp Quad HD visuals for productivity, multimedia and casual gaming. The display uses LCD technology with IPS panel characteristics to maintain consistent color and wide viewing angles of 178° horizontally and vertically. The monitor has a 16:9 aspect ratio, a typical brightness of 300 cd/m² and a typical contrast ratio of 1000:1. Designed with a flat screen and a black finish, the Samsung S61F supports VESA mounting and includes adjustable height for ergonomic placement.

Advantages

The IPS panel and Quad HD resolution combine to provide detailed images and accurate colors across wide viewing angles, making it suitable for collaborative work and multi-angle viewing. A 5 ms response time helps reduce motion blur in fast-moving scenes, while the 300 cd/m² brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio offer a balanced image for most indoor lighting conditions. VESA compatibility and height adjustment enable flexible installation and ergonomic setup in home offices or desk-based workspaces.

How to use

Place the Samsung S61F on a stable desk surface or attach it to a VESA-compatible mount. Connect the monitor to your computer using the appropriate video cable supported by your system (check your GPU or laptop outputs for compatibility). Adjust the height to a comfortable eye level and set the screen angle to minimize reflections. Use your operating system's display settings to select the native 2560 x 1440 resolution and configure scaling as needed. For optimal image quality, allow the monitor to warm up for a few minutes and make any color or brightness adjustments through the on-screen display (OSD) menu.

Recommendations

For ergonomic use, position the top of the screen at or slightly below eye level and maintain an arm's length distance. When using the monitor for color-critical tasks, perform any necessary calibration with software or hardware tools and work in consistent ambient lighting. To reduce power consumption, use the monitor's power-saving modes when idle and set appropriate sleep timers in your system settings.
