Before you believe a bad review about us

We would like to respond openly to every negative review about us. Many are posted anonymously, so we cannot reach those customers directly. This open letter is our reply, and we would be grateful if you took a moment to read it.

But here is what a one-star review will never tell you:

  • We import from 70+ official distributors. That is why you pay far less than local retail — and why delivery takes longer. We publish the date before you pay, never after.
  • You can pay only when your goods land in Johannesburg. Pay on Arrival, no full payment up front. Ask yourself what scammer offers that.
  • Nobody has ever lost money with us. You get the product, or you get a refund. There is no third option, and there never has been.
  • We are part of the ITwork group — ten years trading in Europe, nine stores, thousands of positive reviews.
  • Johannesburg and Cape Town stores open this year — real shelves, real stock, walk in and buy the same day.

We are not satisfied with our review scores, and we are not going to fix them by hiding anything. We are fixing them by being faster, clearer and easier to reach than any reason to complain.

Read the full letter — photos and video of real shipments, and a straight answer to every accusation.

Problem with an order right now? Write to [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected] — answered the same business day. The letter also lists our group and store owners' contacts.

Verdict: I'm not keen on the £100 price increase – £1,749 is an awful lot of money for a phone – but if you're blessed with the funds and you're a fan of the folding phone/tablet form factor, there isn't anything better than the Galaxy Z Fold 5 right now. Samsung G...

Pros
  • Thinner and lighter than Z Fold 5
  • Better battery life and performance
  • Useful new software features
Cons
  • Even more expensive than last year
  • Same cameras as last year
  • S Pen isn't included in the box

  • Fun, social media-friendly camera
  • Inner screen is perfect for games and video
  • IPX8 and durable chassis

Verdict: The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 can best be described as an iterative upgrade. Sure, it fixes long-time issues with the Fold series by getting rid of the gap and impressive software support, but it's near-identical in most other areas, making the £100/$150 pr...

  • Large 7.6-inch foldable display
  • Most powerful foldable phone around
  • Better app support than other book-style foldables
Cons
  • Very similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4,£100/$150 price increase
  • Identical camera setup

Verdict: The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is a minor upgrade over the Z Fold 4. But it's a more polished package than the Pixel Fold or Honor Magic Vs - Samsung's main competition in the West - and it's also the only foldable with stylus input. So with seriously solid...

Pros
  • Loads of power and all-day battery
  • Bright, high-quality displays
  • Reassuringly solid hinge
  • IPX8 water-resistance
  • S Pen stylus input
Cons
  • Narrow cover screen feels cramped
  • Modest upgrades versus Z Fold 4
  • Mediocre cameras for the price
  • Still undeniably expensive

Verdict: Last year's Galaxy Z Fold 4 was already a peach of a foldable phone, with just a few rough edges. On first inspection, the Z Fold 5 appears to have smoothed those edges off to great effect. The gap is gone, the crease less visible, the inner bezels barely...
