Salewa MTN Trainer Lite GTX Women's Hiking & Approach Shoes Java Blue/Black UK 6.5 (EU 40)

The Salewa MTN Trainer Lite GTX for women stands apart from typical hiking shoes by blending the agility of an approach shoe with the weatherproof confidence of a GORE-TEX® membrane. Built for technical terrain, it delivers a precise, secure fit and reliable traction without the weight penalty of a full mountaineering boot.

Highlights

• GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining keeps feet dry while allowing heat to escape during high-output hikes.
• Pomoca™ MTN Trainer Lite outsole offers dependable grip on rock, scree, and mixed alpine trails.
• Salewa 3F System wraps the ankle and heel for a snug, supportive fit that moves with you.
• Climbing lacing extends to the toe, enabling a fine-tuned fit for technical sections and via ferrata.
• TPU protective rand shields the upper from abrasion against rocks and roots.
• Ortholite® footbed provides long-lasting cushioning and breathability for all-day comfort.

In daily use

On the trail, the MTN Trainer Lite GTX feels immediately responsive. The EVA midsole absorbs impact while the 11 mm drop encourages a natural stride, and the anti-rock heel cup adds stability on uneven ground. The breathable mesh upper keeps the shoe light, while the GORE-TEX® lining ensures creek crossings and sudden showers never cut your day short. From forest switchbacks to exposed scrambles, this shoe transitions seamlessly.
