How to use

Connect the NT-USB+ to your computer, smartphone or tablet using the supplied USB-C cable and select it as the input device in your recording or streaming software. Position the microphone on the supplied desktop stand with the cardioid pattern facing the sound source and attach the pop filter to reduce plosives. Use the front-panel headphone output and volume/mix controls for zero-latency monitoring. To access on-board processing (compressor, noise gate, high-pass, APHEX Aural Exciter™ and Big Bottom™), install RØDE Central, RØDE Connect or RØDE Reporter and follow the app instructions to configure and save settings to the microphone.

Recommendations

For best results, record in a quiet room with basic acoustic treatment where possible, position the microphone 10–30 cm from the source depending on loudness, and use the cardioid pattern to minimise background noise.
