RFID reader Axis 02144-001

The AXIS A4020-E Reader (model AXIS 02144-001) is an RFID access reader designed for secure, touch-free entry and to integrate with Axis network door controllers and credentials. Its mullion-mount form factor fits narrow door frames and tight installations indoors or outdoors. The reader supports 13.56 MHz smart card technologies and provides out-of-the-box Open Supervised Device Protocol (OSDP) support and Secure Channel Protocol (SCP) for encrypted, bidirectional communication, with built-in cybersecurity features to help prevent unauthorized access.

Advantages

The reader combines compact dimensions (48 mm width, 27 mm depth, 121 mm height) with RS-485 connectivity for reliable communication. Its mullion design enables installation in narrow spaces and door frames, and support for multiple 13.56 MHz credential standards ensures broad compatibility. Native OSDP and SCP support together with onboard cybersecurity functions provide secure, managed communications and reduce the risk of tampering or interception.

Suitable for

• Access control in commercial and industrial buildings
• Door frame and mullion installations where space is limited
• Indoor and outdoor entry points exposed to harsh environments
• Integrations requiring OSDP or RS-485 connectivity
