PureLink FiberX 10 FX-I605-010 USB-C Active Optical Cable 10m 10Gbps Black

In a busy video production studio, an editor transfers uncompressed 4K footage from a camera directly to a workstation located across the room. The PureLink FiberX 10 FX-I605-010 makes this seamless—a 10-meter active optical cable that carries USB 3.2 Gen 2 data at full 10 Gbps without signal loss. Unlike copper cables, its fiber optic core is immune to electromagnetic interference, ensuring stable transfers even near power lines or wireless transmitters. The cable is directional: the source end connects to the host (laptop, PC, or camera), and the display/device end connects to the target (external SSD, dock, or monitor). It also supports USB Power Delivery up to 60W, so a connected device can charge while data flows. With gold-plated connectors, triple shielding, and a robust PVC jacket, this cable is built for professional environments where reliability is non-negotiable.

Why choose it

Traditional copper USB cables suffer from signal degradation beyond a few meters. The FX-I605-010 uses fiber optics to maintain full 10 Gbps speed over its entire 10-meter length. The active chipset regenerates the signal, ensuring error-free data transfer for high-resolution video, large datasets, and real-time applications. The directional design eliminates confusion and optimizes performance. Additionally, the 60W Power Delivery support means you can charge a laptop or power a peripheral while transferring data—no separate power cable needed.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting a camera or external SSD to a workstation in a studio or lab
• Extending USB-C peripherals (docks, hubs, capture cards) across a room
• Charging and syncing a laptop from a distance
• Industrial or medical equipment requiring long-reach, high-speed data links

Good to know

The cable is directional: the connector labeled "Host" must be plugged into the source device, and the connector labeled "Device" into the target. It does not support DisplayPort Alt Mode (video output). The PVC jacket is durable yet flexible, and the gold-plated connectors resist corrosion. For best results, avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling on the connectors.
