The PureTools PT-HDBT-1010 is a 4K 18Gbps HDMI HDBaseT Spec 3 extender set consisting of a transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX). It extends HDMI signals over a single Cat cable (Cat5e/Cat6a) up to 80 m for 4K@60 4:4:4 or up to 100 m for 4K@60 4:2:0. The set supports HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2/1.4, provides an HDMI loop output at the transmitter for local monitoring, and offers analogue stereo de-embedding.

How to use

Connect the HDMI source to the transmitter HDMI input and, if required, use the transmitter HDMI loop output for a local monitor. Link TX and RX with a suitable Cat cable (Cat5e/Cat6a) to the required distance. Set the DIP switches on each unit to choose USB Host/Device roles and select the ARC mode (HDMI, S/PDIF or Pass-Through) on the receiver. Attach USB devices to the USB-A ports and the processing PC to the USB-B host port as needed. Power one unit with the supplied 12 V adapter; the other unit can receive power over HDBaseT if PoH/PoC is used.

Recommendations

Use Cat6a cables for maximum distance and signal stability at 4K@60 4:4:4. For USB 3.x devices expect operation at USB 2.0 Hi‑Speed (up to 480 Mbps). When routing ARC audio, choose the appropriate ARC mode on the receiver to match your AV receiver or sound system. Secure the 12 V connectors with the screw caps provided and verify link and HDCP LEDs during setup.
