The DIGITUS® PDU power strip provides reliable power distribution for network and IT racks. It is designed for use in server cabinets, network technology environments, laboratories and home setups. The unit can be mounted vertically and, depending on the rack type, installed with the outlets facing either right or left to fit available space.

Advantages

The built-in circuit breaker prevents overload and short circuits while protecting connected equipment. Outlets are rotated by 35° to improve space management and provide easier access to plugs. The device supports fast shutdown in case of a short circuit and a defined delayed shutdown when an overload occurs, helping to protect cables and wiring.

How to use

Mount the PDU vertically in the rack using appropriate screws and brackets. Choose the installation orientation so the rotated outlets face the preferred side (right or left). Connect the strip to a suitable mains supply and plug devices into the angled outlets. Verify the circuit breaker rating before connecting sensitive equipment.

Recommendations

For safe operation, ensure the rack and mains supply meet local electrical standards. Do not exceed the PDU’s rated current; if the circuit breaker trips, disconnect some devices and inspect for faults before resetting.
