MEAN WELL HDR-15-12 DIN Rail Power Supply, 12 V, 15 W, 1.25 A

The MEAN WELL HDR-15-12 is an ultra-slim AC-DC DIN-rail power supply offering a fixed 12V DC output at 1.25A (15W). It accepts a wide input range of 85–264VAC, meets RoHS requirements and is specified as LPS (Limited Power Source). Its compact dimensions (54.5 mm depth × 90 mm height) and light weight (approximately 80 g) make it suitable for space-constrained installations.

Advantages

The HDR-15-12 combines a wide input voltage range and stable 12V output in an ultra-slim DIN-rail housing, allowing easy mounting in control cabinets. Its small footprint and low weight simplify installation and save panel space. RoHS compliance ensures adherence to environmental standards, and LPS designation helps meet safety requirements for limited-power circuits.

Suitable for

• Industrial control panels and automation equipment
• Embedded electronics and low-power devices requiring 12V DC
• Telecommunications and network devices with DIN-rail mounting
• Mass installations or projects requiring multiple identical power supplies

How to use

Mount the HDR-15-12 on a standard DIN rail inside the control cabinet. Connect the AC input to a suitable 85–264VAC supply following local wiring regulations and ensure proper grounding. Connect the 12V DC output to the load, observing correct polarity and the 1.25A current limit. Verify connections before powering on and monitor temperature and ventilation to prevent overheating.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, keep the unit within its rated input range and below the maximum output current. Allow adequate airflow around the device, avoid mounting near heat sources, and follow installation instructions and local electrical codes. When deploying multiple units (pack quantities), plan for sufficient space and proper wiring to maintain safety and serviceability.
