Before you believe a bad review about us

We would like to respond openly to every negative review about us. Many are posted anonymously, so we cannot reach those customers directly. This open letter is our reply, and we would be grateful if you took a moment to read it.

But here is what a one-star review will never tell you:

  • We import from 70+ official distributors. That is why you pay far less than local retail — and why delivery takes longer. We publish the date before you pay, never after.
  • You can pay only when your goods land in Johannesburg. Pay on Arrival, no full payment up front. Ask yourself what scammer offers that.
  • Nobody has ever lost money with us. You get the product, or you get a refund. There is no third option, and there never has been.
  • We are part of the ITwork group — ten years trading in Europe, nine stores, thousands of positive reviews.
  • Johannesburg and Cape Town stores open this year — real shelves, real stock, walk in and buy the same day.

We are not satisfied with our review scores, and we are not going to fix them by hiding anything. We are fixing them by being faster, clearer and easier to reach than any reason to complain.

Read the full letter — photos and video of real shipments, and a straight answer to every accusation.

The Sharp DR-P420 is a compact portable radio with a digital tuner supporting DAB, DAB+ and FM reception. Finished in pink, it combines basic radio functions with wireless music streaming via Bluetooth and can be powered from a USB source or by replaceable batteries. The radio delivers 2W RMS output and supports AAC audio formats, making it suitable for everyday listening at home or on the move.

Advantages

The unit offers digital DAB/DAB+ reception for clearer sound and more station choices than FM alone, plus FM band coverage. Bluetooth allows wireless streaming from phones or tablets, while USB or battery power provides flexible use away from mains sockets. Its compact size and lightweight (0.4 kg) design make it easy to carry and place in small spaces.

Suitable for

  • Listening to digital and FM radio at home
  • Portable music playback via Bluetooth from mobile devices
  • Use in kitchens, offices, or on short trips where compact size is preferred
  • Situations requiring battery or USB-powered operation

Key specifications

  • Model: Sharp DR-P420 (MPN: DR-P420PK, EAN: 4974019204529)
  • Radio bands: DAB, DAB+, FM
  • Output power: 2W RMS
  • Audio format support: AAC
  • Power: USB powered or battery operated (alkaline battery capacity referenced at 2200 mAh)
  • Weight: 0.4 kg
  • Colour: Pink

How to use

Connect the radio to a USB power source or insert the recommended batteries to power the device. Use the tuner to scan for available DAB/DAB+ or FM stations and select the desired station. To play audio from an external device, activate Bluetooth on both devices and pair them following on-screen prompts; once paired, start playback from your phone or tablet. Adjust volume and tuning with the device controls.

Recommendations

For optimal reception, place the radio near a window when using DAB/DAB+ or FM. When using battery power, carry spare alkaline batteries or keep a USB power bank available for extended portability. If Bluetooth connection fails, restart both devices and retry pairing.
