Polymaker PA07009 PLA Yellow is a 1 kg spool of PolyLite™ PLA Pro filament in 1.75 mm diameter designed for fused filament fabrication (FFF) 3D printers. This PLA Pro grade combines higher rigidity with improved impact resistance compared with standard PLA, enabling dimensionally accurate parts with better mechanical performance while retaining the ease of printing typical for PLA. The material prints with a smooth yellow finish suitable for visual prototypes, functional components and decorative objects.

Advantages

PolyLite™ PLA Pro offers a balance of high stiffness and elevated toughness: parts achieve improved impact strength without sacrificing printability. The filament is compatible with standard 1.75 mm extruders, prints at relatively low temperatures and benefits from the low-warp characteristics of PLA. The yellow color provides consistent surface appearance and good layer adhesion for detailed prints.

Suitable for

  • Visual prototypes and presentation models
  • Functional parts requiring improved impact resistance
  • Decorative items, toys and household accessories
  • Low-warp medium-size components and jigs

Key specifications

  • Material type: Polylactic Acid (PLA) — PolyLite™ PLA Pro formulation
  • Color: Yellow
  • Net weight: 1 kg
  • Filament diameter: 1.75 mm
  • Recommended printing temperature: 190°C–220°C
  • Recommended bed temperature: 30°C–60°C
  • Printing speed guidance: 30–70 mm/s
  • Retraction settings: direct drive ~1 mm at 30 mm/s; Bowden ~3 mm at 60 mm/s
  • Drying recommendation if moist: 55°C for 6 hours

How to use

Load the 1.75 mm filament into a compatible FFF 3D printer and set the hotend temperature between 190°C and 220°C depending on model and part detail. Use a heated bed set between 30°C and 60°C to reduce first-layer warping; a glass or PEI build surface with light adhesion (glue stick or blue tape) is usually sufficient. Enable cooling fan during printing for better surface quality. Apply the retraction values appropriate to your extruder type (around 1 mm for direct drive, 3 mm for Bowden) and tune print speed within the 30–70 mm/s range to balance detail and throughput. If filament has absorbed moisture, dry at 55°C for approximately 6 hours before printing.

Recommendations

For best mechanical performance, print with moderate layer height (e.g., 0.15–0.25 mm) and ensure solid infill or appropriate wall thickness for functional parts. Store the spool in a dry place or sealed bag with desiccant to preserve filament quality. When a silkier surface is required, PLA Pro formulations are available with special finishes that retain the same mechanical properties.
